From Open Wheel to Fender Cars to – Weddings?

This weekend will be the Dickies 500 at Texas Motor Speedway. We often spend NASCAR weekend in the infield with friends and it is always great fun. Racing under the lights and so much noise you think your head might explode by the end of the weekend. The fans are tremendous at all race events, but there is so much energey and excitment in the infield you can’t help but get swept away with it.
Currently 2nd in the Race for the Chase is Mark Martin who in all his year of racing NASCAR has never won a Sprint Cup Championship he is one of NASCARs great racers and deserves this championship more than some of the others out on the field.

This year, NASCAR weekend happens to be the same weekend as my sisters wedding, so instead of baking in the sun on top of a trailer in the infield screaming my lungs out, I will be in St. Paul, MN doing the Chicken Dance. There has already been snow up north this year, but I will gladly brave the freezing temperatures to spend this time with my family.
